|
Detailed Description
|
This sure has become a terrible economy. Due to this I have no choice financially but to sell my baby. Up for sale is a 1968 Cessna 172I. I have owned this plane for about a year and a half. The numbers are below.
1968 Cessna 172I -Approx. 4300 Total Time on the Airframe. -Approx 1800 Hours since overhaul. -Lycoming O-320-E2D 150 Hp engine. -IFR cert. completed 05/2008. -Annual due 12/2009.
At the last annual, compressions were 79/80, 74/80, 70/80 and 79/80. Oil analysis was clean and within limits.
Airframe: Plane just came out of the paint shop. Had minor hail damage received in 03/2009. This called for some surfaces to be re-skinned and the entire plane to be painted. I had all the exterior plastics replaced at the same time. Below is a short list of the work that has gone into the plane within the last year or so. I bought the plane after it had sat for a long time and now that I have worked the kinks out of her, I must sell. Engine Specs: Recent work completed:
07/2009: -New Jet Glo Paint (one year warranty). -Wingtip Strobes installed. Belly strobe was already there. -New exterior plastics. -New Gill battery installed. -New Hooker 5 point harnesses installed. -Oil change and compression check. All cyls. above 77/80. -Leak check performed. No leaks. -Nose gear assy. Got new seals and hydro. fluid.
03/2009 -One new tire -New Brake linings
02/2009 -New landing and taxi lights installed -Vacuum pump replaced
08/2008 -Carburetor rebuilt -Seals/gaskets replaced for Carb. -New Cylinder installed. -Cyl. replacement included new piston, ring, intake valve and exhaust valve.
07/2008 -Two new tires installed -Inop. VOR indicator replaced -Inop. Hobbs meter replaced Avionics/Radios: Avionics are as follows: -Garmin 396 yoke mounted (not pictured, but included) -Flightcom 4 place intercom -King KX155 Nav/Com -King KMA 24 Audio panel -King KY76 Transponder with Mode C -Genave Sigma 1500 ADF -Genave Alpha 200 Nav/Com -Carb Ice detector -PTT switches on both yokes -EGT Indicator Year Painted: 2009 Exterior: Painted as a 2009 Skyhawk. White with blue and silver stripes. Year Interior: 1980 Inspection Status: I have all logs for the plane back to 1968 and it seems as all A/D’s have been complied with. As far as damage history, there is of course the light hail damage as stated above. No other damage is noted in log books. Plane does have Auto Gas STC.
If you have any questions at all about the plane, Please email or call me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
