Bombardier, the Montreal-based, global-leading designer and manufacturer of aircraft and trains, has announced that it has achieved several milestones with is Challenger 300 and Challenger 600 series of business jets, including milestones specifically tied to the company’s super midsize Challenger 350 aircraft and the large cabin Challenger 650. Controller.com has numerous Challenger 300/600 series aircraft available for sale.

Specifically, Bombardier reports that the Challenger 350 recently surpassed 200 deliveries, while the Challenger 650 recently reached the 50th-delivery mark. Overall, Bombardier has delivered more than 650 aircraft from the Challenger 300 series and completed roughly 1,100 deliveries of Challenger 600 series aircraft. The company claims the Challenger 300 series has seen deliveries than any other business jet platform in the last 10 years. The Challenger 600, meanwhile, is the “best-selling business jet of all time in the large category,” Bombardier claims.

    “No Competitor Comes Close

In a statement, Peter Likoray, Bombardier Business Aircraft senior vice president, sales and marketing, chalked up the delivery milestones as a testament to the overall abilities of Challenger aircraft. “No competitor comes close to the comfort and connectivity of the Challenger aircraft’s cabin or to their class-leading economics and dependable performance in operation,” he stated, noting in particular the favorability that Challenger aircraft have earned with experienced flight departments and individuals.

Broadly, Bombardier claims Challenger aircraft offer the lowest direct operating costs within their respective categories, including due to longer maintenance intervals and affordable maintenance programs. The company cites its new Smart Services offering as the “most competitive cost-per-flight hour coverage,” a trait that “brings budget predictability to a whole new level with enhanced adaptability and greater customization.” The program is open to existing Bombardier customers with a la carte coverage now including landing gear overhaul and unscheduled maintenance.

    Challenger 350 Capabilities

Able to seat up to 10 passengers, the Challenger 350 supports a 3,200-nautical mile (5,926-kilometer) max range, a max operating altitude of 45,000 feet (13.7 kilometers), and top 0.83 Mach speed. The aircraft uses twin Honeywell HTF7350 turbofans; integrates Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 advanced avionics with four displays; includes a dual flight management system; and features a cabin width of 7.2 feet (2.2 meters). Bombardier bills the Challenger 350 as offering the “fastest and most reliable air-to-ground internet coverage over North America” among business aircraft with 4G technology.

    Challenger 650 Capabilities

The Challenger 650, meanwhile, includes Ka-Band high-speed internet connectivity, which Bombardier dubs the “industry’s fastest in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity with worldwide coverage.” The aircraft also uses an advanced wing design that the company touts as minimizing turbulence effects for a smoother ride. With a 7.11-feet (2.17-meter) wide cabin, the Challenger 650 seats up to 12 passengers; features Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 advanced avionics; and supports a max 4,000-nautical mile (7,408-kilometer) range, top cruise speed of 0.85 Mach, and 41,000-feet (12.5-kilometer) maximum operating altitude.
