Single- and twin-engine aircraft manufacturer Piper Aircraft has numerous activities scheduled for the upcoming Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) AirVenture 2018 event set for July 23 to 29 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The annual fly-in gathering will find Piper hosting a press conference on the event’s first day to discuss its Q2 2018 performance, as well as recent company activities. Piper will also display a significant portion of its product line at its static display, including the single-engine M600 turboprop designed for business and personal use.

    Showcasing Piper

Introduced in 2015 with a clean-sheet design, the M600 updates Piper’s M500 with a more powerful Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42A 600-shaft-horsepower engine and Garmin G3000 avionics. Besides the M600, Piper will also display its single-engine M500 turboprop and single-engine pressurized M350 piston aircraft that round out the M-Class lineup at AirVenture 2018. Additionally, Piper will make its Archer and Seminole trainers available. (Piper also offers Seneca V, Archer TX, Archer DX, and Arrow models for training and personal use.) Kirby Chambliss, Red Bull Air Race pilot and M600 owner, will appear on behalf of Piper to sign autographs.

“Year after year aviation enthusiasts and serious general aviation buyers from around the world come together at EAA AirVenture,” says Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott. “This unique aviation event on the shores of Lake Winnebago is a prime meeting place for the aviation community and an ideal venue to showcase Piper products and engage with our customers.”

    Aircraft Galore

Billed as the largest annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts, AirVenture drew 500,000-plus attendees last year, according to the EAA. Roughly 10,000 aircraft, including nearly 3,000 show planes, flew into Oshkosh and surrounding airports for last year’s event, which included 800 exhibitors, 900 media members from five continents, and 2,500 international visitors from 80 countries. The event features “warbirds,” vintage, homebuilt, ultralight, and other aircraft.

You’ll find hundreds of new and used Piper aircraft for sale every day on Controller.com, including M600s, M350s, Senecas, Archers, Arrows, and many other models.
