New 2019 production Cessna and Beechcraft piston aircraft from Textron Aviation will receive enhanced flight deck abilities in the form of new standard and optional equipment that’s part of the next-generation Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck. The new equipment includes the latest Garmin GMA 1360 audio panel offering enhanced audio abilities and a Bluetooth audio link that enables pairing portable devices to the flight deck.

    Enhanced Abilities

Textron says new production models of its Cessna Skylane, Cessna Turbo Stationair HD, Beechcraft Bonanza G36, and Beechcraft Baron G58 aircraft will come standard with GFC 700 Autopilot with E-AFCS (Enhanced Automatic Flight Control System). Textron will offer the feature as an option for the Cessna Skyhawk. E-AFCS makes various automated features available to help pilots “maintain an optimal flight envelope, while enhancing situational awareness.” Textron says added features also include ESP (Electronic Stability and Protection) with auto-level functionality, USP (Underspeed Protection), and Coupled Go-Around.

Elsewhere, Textron says factory-new G58 Barons will also include Garmin’s new GWX 75 Doppler weather radar, which provides onboard weather information and enables pilots to customize the weather view on individual cockpit displays. When used with optional turbulence-detection and ground-suppression technology, Textron says the weather radar enables easier navigation around challenging weather.

Textron Aviation has announced that new production models of its Cessna Skylane (shown here), Cessna Turbo Stationair HD, Beechcraft Bonanza G36, and Beechcraft Baron G58 now come standard with Garmin’s GFC 700 Autopilot with Enhanced Automatic Flight Control System. Expanded Communications

Textron notes all Cessna and Beechcraft piston aircraft include the Garmin GSR 56 Iridium satellite receiver, which provides pilots with “near-worldwide access to downlink weather services” and enables them to make voice calls and send text messages.

If you’re in the market for Cessna or Beechcraft single- or twin-engine piston aircraft, you’ll find hundreds of new and used models for sale every day on Controller.com, including Beechcraft G58 and G36 models.
