Gulfstream now offers line maintenance from an onsite hangar at the TAG Farnborough Airport, but it will continue to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance from its service center at London’s Luton Airport, as well. The Farnborough team is temporarily working out of an “existing hanger that can accommodate four large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft,” the company says. The facility will soon offer full scheduled maintenance services and currently has approvals from the European Aviation Safety Agency, United States Federal Aviation Administration, and other agencies.
Gulfstream announced earlier in May that construction has begun on a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at the airport. The company plans to open the new 222,060-square-foot (20,630-square-meter) facility in Q3 2020.
