Textron Aviation headed into the 2019 EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition; taking place now through May 23 in Geneva, Switzerland) with eight company aircraft, including the flagship Cessna Citation Longitude, and the company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing making some big claims. Besides delivering a market-leading 88 jets and turboprops during 2019’s first quarter, Rob Scholl says the company led the European market in overall 2018 deliveries and currently has the region’s largest installed fleet.

    Serving Europe

Besides Cessna, Textron Aviation owns the Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft brands and the Bell helicopter brand. In addition to the 12-passenger super-midsize Citation Longitude, Textron has a medevac-configured midsized Cessna Citation Latitude and a Cessna Grand Caravan EX at EBACE. The event is attracting thousands of business aviation professionals to its featured exhibits and the 50-plus aircraft there on static display. Textron bills the Grand Caravan EX as “2018’s most popular turbine model.”

Scholl says Textron Aviation has 1,800-plus business jets and turboprops in Europe, and that Textron is excited to showcase its wide range of business, special-mission, and general-aviation lineups, as well as detail its continued investments “to offer technologically-advanced products and dedicated sales and support solutions to our customers in the region.”

Also at EBACE, Textron had its Cessna Citation Latitude, “the most delivered midsize business jet in Europe since 2016,” on static display, as well as a Cessna Citation XLS+, “the most delivered Citation into Europe in the last five years.” Cessna’s Citation CJ3+ and Citation M2, Beechcraft’s King Air 350i turboprop, and Bell’s 429 and 505 helicopters rounded out Textron’s lineup.
