Textron Aviation, owner of the Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft brands, recently delivered its 300th Cessna Citation CJ4, the largest model in the Cessna light jet lineup. That lineup also includes the Citation CJ3+ and Citation M2. Larger Citation jets include the Hemisphere, Longitude, Latitude, Sovereign+, and XLS+. The company made the 300th CJ4 delivery to McNeilus Steel, a metals distribution business with headquarters in Dodge Center, Minnesota. Overall, Textron says it has delivered 5,000-plus Cessna Citation light jets globally.

    Customer Service Benefits

The family-owned McNeilus Steel was a previous fractional owner of a Cessna Citation C1+ since 2016. The company, however, will assume full ownership of the new CJ4. McNeilus, which has more than 450 employees stationed at company locations in Dodge Center, as well as Fargo, North Dakota, and Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, says its CJ4 acquisition will help further strengthen the company’s status.

“Our reputation is built on customer service, and our Citation CJ4 will help us strengthen that reputation through even more personal interaction with our customers,” stated Levi McNeilus, director of purchasing for McNeilus, which was founded in 1948.

    The CJ4 Up Close

Textron introduced the nine-passenger CJ4 in 2010. The jet uses twin Williams International FJ44-4A engines and is touted for its versatility and suitability for a variety of special missions applications. Performance specs include a 2,165-nautical-mile (4,010-kilometer) maximum range, 451-ktas maximum cruise speed, 45,000-foot (13,716-meter) maximum operating altitude, and 1,040-pound (472-kilogram) baggage capacity. Cessna also says the jet’s 1,926-nautical-mile (3,567-kilometer) IFR (instrument flight rules) range tops its class. Elsewhere, the CJ4 is certified for single-pilot operation via its Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite and provides single-point refueling and Bisque, French Roast, Hyde Park, Jet Black, Silver Mirage, and Toffee interior color schemes.

You can find thousands of new and used aircraft for sale every day on Controller.com, including a huge selection of Cessna models and a number of CJ4s in particular. You’ll also find Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft for sale on the site.
