Bombardier Makes In-Cabin High-Speed Wireless Internet Available For Learjet Business Aircraft

    Posted On: March 4, 2020

Bombardier recently announced that it is now making the Gogo AVANCE L5 4G in-cabin Internet connectivity platform available as an option for in-service Learjet 40, 45, 70, and 75 models. (Learjet 75 Liberty shown above; photo courtesy of Bombardier.)

Since last year, Bombardier has made the Gogo AVANCE L5 platform that provides 4G air-to-ground Internet connectivity available as an option in new Learjet aircraft as well as its upcoming Learjet 75 Liberty business jet (which is set for mid-2020 deliveries). Now, the business and commercial jet manufacturer is offering the system from Gogo Business Aviation as a retrofit option for in-service Learjet 40, 45, 70, and 75 models. Installations are available at U.S. Bombardier Service Centers and Authorized Service Facilities.

    Never Been A Better Time

Bombardier reports there are 2,000-plus Learjet aircraft in operation worldwide. “With various upgrades available for our large fleet of in-service aircraft and the recent unveiling of our value-added Learjet 75 Liberty aircraft, there’s never been a better time to own a Learjet,” says Michael Anckner, vice president, Worldwide Sales, Learjet Aircraft and Corporate Fleets, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

The “significantly faster” 4G in-cabin Wi-Fi system now available uses the Gogo AVANCE L5 platform to access the Gogo Biz 4G ground network that features 250-plus towers providing connectivity over the continental U.S. and much of Canada and Alaska. Designed specifically for business aircraft, the system provides audio and video streaming, faster web surfing, and an overall “vastly improved user experience” as compared to previous-generation technology, Bombardier says.

    Find Your Learjet

Bombardier notes it has recently expanded its support network worldwide via a new service center at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport and U.S. line maintenance stations in Teterboro, New Jersey, and Van Nuys, California. In addition to the new 4G connectivity upgrade, Bombardier is offering the latest update to the Garmin G5000 avionics suite for Learjet aircraft.

Controller.com is your go-to source for new and used Bombardier business jets and Learjet aircraft, including Learjet 40, 45, 70, and 75 models.
