Cirrus Aircraft is now delivering the new Cirrus Generation 3 (G3) Vision Jet, also known as the SF50 G3, announced in early February 2026. The single-engine jet debuts a reimagined cabin, expanded seating flexibility, and over 30 refinements. Like its G2/G2+ predecessor, the G3 retains seating for seven occupants, but now accommodates six adults and one child—rather than the previous combination of five adults and two children—thanks to a redesigned third-row bench seat.

    New, More Comfortable Interior

The Vision Jet, first certified in 2016, created what Cirrus says is a new “Personal Jet” category. Cirrus introduced the upgraded G2+ Vision Jet in 2021 and has delivered more than 700 Vision Jets globally to business owners, private owners, and personal aviation customers.

“The G3 Vision Jet is a testament to our relentless innovation, continued investment in Personal Aviation, and our owners who want to travel efficiently with award-winning safety features, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), and Safe Return Emergency Autoland for peace of mind,” says Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen. “The G3 Vision Jet interior was engineered for excellence and comfort, now offering expanded seating for increased mission capability.”

    More Room For Adults

The most noticeable interior change in the G3 is the wider third-row bench. Cirrus says the third row and middle seats remain fully modular and can be installed or removed as needed. Additionally, both pilot and co-pilot seats now offer full single-handed aft-range adjustment. Every seat receives upgraded ergonomics, enhanced cushioning, premium leather, and a hand-wrapped Alcantara hardshell back. Passengers will also find new mobile device mounts in front of each seat.

    Lighting & Flight Deck Additions

Pilots will appreciate the bright exterior lighting, with the new Spectra wingtips and landing lights delivering 2.7 times the brightness of previous versions, improving visibility during taxiing, takeoffs, and landings. Pilots will also benefit from updates to the Perspective Touch+ flight deck that will reduce their workloads and enhance situational awareness.

ATC Datalink enables text-based communication with air traffic controllers, while the Alerts-Linked Checklists system automatically displays the correct checklist when an alert occurs. Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi provide increased awareness in airport environments with clear airport surface maps and directions for navigating unfamiliar airports.
