How To Use Aircraft Cost Calculator’s Trip Cost Calculator

    Posted On: November 7, 2025

When aviation professionals need to calculate, compare, and understand the impact of hangar leases, inspections, maintenance, and other costs on aircraft ownership, they launch Aircraft Cost Calculator.

ACC is also the aviation industry’s most powerful cost-analysis tool for projecting all kinds of aircraft-related costs, including trip-specific projections and comparisons between private and commercial travel. If you’re planning a trip in a specific aircraft, here’s how to get started.

    Access The Trip Cost Calculator

Start by logging in or registering at AircraftCostCalculator.com. Next, select your currency and measurement preferences at the top right of the homepage. Now, enter your aircraft make and model in the search field in the upper left, such as Gulfstream G200, and click the search icon. Alternatively, scroll to find your aircraft in the list on the homepage.

Once you find your aircraft, click Add To Session to the right, and then click Calculator at the bottom of the page. In the page that opens, select Trip Cost Calculator from the top menu.

    Enter Your Trip Details

Once you’ve accessed the Trip Calculator, you can input route and trip specifics in the New Route dialog box. Enter your departing and destination airports in the Search Airports fields, the number of passengers, an hourly charter rate, and a markup percentage (typically 10% for charter companies), and click Create New Route.

A look at a sample report detailing costs and route details from Aircraft Cost Calculator’s Trip Cost Calculator.
Need to determine costs associated with a specific trip you’re planning in a specific aircraft? The ACC Trip Cost Calculator makes it quick and easy to crunch the numbers and compare private travel with commercial travel costs.

    View Your Trip Cost Calculations

On the subsequent page, the trip calculator displays the trip route on the interactive map and breaks down cost projections and comparisons into intuitive Route Defaults, Leg, and Route Totals sections.

If you need to add another leg to the trip, click Add Airport in the Route Defaults section, enter the new leg destination in the Add To Route search field, and click Add.

Save Your Route & Generate A Report

To save your route for later reference, click Save Route at the top of the page. To save and/or share your trip costs results with others, click Generate Report next to Save Route. ACC will generate a professional-looking downloadable PDF that you can customize with a title, subtitle, notes about the trip, and your contact information.

Click Download to start generating the report and click Exit to close the report editor. To retrieve and download your trip report, click Users Files at the top right and then click Download.

Calculate Costs For Your Next Trip Today

Whether you’re flying for business or leisure, the mobile-friendly ACC Trip Cost Calculator can provide insights about the trip based on real-world data. Watch our video and visit AircraftCostCalculator.com today to get started—registration is quick and easy.
