BRM AERO, manufacturer of Bristell Aircraft, announces the two-seat Bristell B23 has received Type Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under Part 23 regulations, complementing the aircraft's existing EASA CS-23 certification and strengthening Bristell's position in global aviation markets.

This certification milestone demonstrates Bristell's commitment to meeting the world's most stringent aviation standards. The B23 platform now holds approvals from both major international aviation authorities, with over 1,100 Bristell aircraft delivered across four continents since 2009, establishing proven performance in commercial training operations worldwide.

    Strategic International Expansion

"This FAA certification represents a significant milestone in our global expansion strategy," said Martin Bříštěla, CEO and Co-founder of Bristell Aircraft. "Having both EASA and FAA approvals validates our engineering excellence and opens new opportunities for flight schools, aviation clubs, and private pilots across international markets. We will continue pursuing FAA certification for additional B23 variants to offer our customers the widest possible range of options."

The company plans to expand certification across its complete B23 lineup, including Rotax 912iS, 915iS, 916iS, and IFR variants, providing comprehensive solutions for diverse aviation needs from basic training to advanced cross-country flying.

    Modern Training & Touring Platform

The Bristell B23 represents a modern training and touring platform that combines traditional all-metal construction with the latest technology. As standard, it comes equipped with a Garmin glass cockpit and is powered by advanced engines from Austrian manufacturer Rotax. This combination delivers a new generation of certified aircraft designed both for comfortable cross-country travel and for professional use in flight schools worldwide.

Key specifications include a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 750 kg (1,654 lbs), a useful load of 300 kg (662 lbs), and the widest cockpit in its class—130 cm (51 inches), ensuring exceptional comfort for pilots and passengers during long flights.

    Global Support Network

Bristell continues strengthening its international presence through 30+ dealers worldwide, supported by 90% in-house manufacturing that ensures consistent quality and rapid parts availability. The company's 24-hour global parts dispatch system minimizes aircraft downtime for operators across all markets.
