AuctionTime Has New Auto-Bid Increment & QuickBid Options

New sale day features on AuctionTime.com give auctioneers and bidders more control over bidding. A new option lets sellers turn on auto-bid increments, which dynamically increases the QuickBid increment by tiers as the current high bid rises for each lot. Also, bidders can now place a QuickBid on upcoming lots on the right side of the Live Board. If QuickBid is disabled, or you’re already the high bidder on an upcoming asset, the button will open the item’s details page instead.

No Trailer Model Name? No Problem!

Truck Paper is making it easier for buyers to find the right trailer with a new specification-driven model system. Because many trailers don’t have a model name or number, if a seller leaves the Model field blank (or enters an invalid model) when adding a unit, the system may substitute available specs, such as length and width. Specs will appear in imperial (U.S.) or metric units, depending on user location settings. The system may also include important features, such as the brand of the refrigeration unit on a reefer trailer.

New Controller Listing Group Added For Ground Support Equipment

Controller.com has a new equipment category for items used by ground crews to tend aircraft, clean runways, and respond to hazards such as fires. The new Ground Support Equipment section, located under Additional Categories, collects listings for de-icing equipment, fire trucks and gear, fuel tanks and trucks, electric power units, brooms and sweepers, and tugs and tow bars.

Streamline Floor Bidder Registration With Equipmentfacts Driver’s License Scanner

A new driver’s license scanning feature makes it easier for Equipmentfacts users to register floor bidders quickly for live auctions. The new Scan License button activates your device’s camera to scan the barcode on the back of a driver’s license, and then automatically fills in the bidder’s name, address, and so on to reduce manual input. Note that Equipmentfacts does not store any information scanned from the bidder’s license beyond filling in the blanks on the registration form. Newer devices with good cameras work best.
