Inventory Levels Drop Across Most Aircraft Categories, Asking Prices Show Mixed Movement
Sandhills Global’s newest market reports cover May data for pre-owned aircraft on Controller.com and other Sandhills platforms. Inventory levels declined across several categories, with piston helicopters posting the largest month-over-month drop at 13.8% and the large jet aircraft segment recording the steepest year-over-year decrease, down 37.1%.
Asking prices in the single-engine piston, turboprop, and select jet aircraft categories shifted less than 2% M/M in May. By contrast, piston helicopters showed the most notable movement, increasing 8.5% M/M. The segment also led Y/Y asking price gains, rising 4.8%, while large jets posted the largest Y/Y decline, falling 4.1%.
