    Description

THE WORLD’S ONLY ORIGINAL FACTORY-BUILT TWO-SEAT MESSERSCHMITT Bf 109 One of Two Built • Sole Survivor • Full Dual Controls • Rolls-Royce Merlin Powered An extraordinary opportunity to acquire what is believed to be the world’s only surviving original factory-built, two-seat Messerschmitt Bf 109. This historically significant aircraft is one of only two two-seat Bf 109s constructed under license by Hispano Aviación, and is the only surviving example. Unlike modern two-seat conversions, this aircraft was originally manufactured in a two-seat configuration and is equipped with a complete set of dual flight controls. This factory two-seat configuration provides an exceptionally rare capability in the Bf 109 family. A qualified pilot can occupy either cockpit, allowing the aircraft to be used for dual-control pilot familiarization, differences or transition training where permitted, demonstration flying, and passenger flight experiences when authorized under the aircraft’s applicable certification and operating limitations. For an owner already operating historic aircraft, the second set of controls also provides a significant advantage for pilot checkout and familiarization, allowing an experienced Bf 109 pilot or instructor to accompany a pilot becoming accustomed to the aircraft rather than requiring the pilot’s first experience to be alone in a single-seat fighter. Power is provided by the legendary Rolls-Royce Merlin, producing approximately 1,700 horsepower. Combined with an aircraft weighing approximately 4,500 pounds, the result is an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio and truly exhilarating performance. Few warbirds combine this level of rarity with such practical dual-control capability. The aircraft offers something virtually unobtainable elsewhere: the opportunity for two occupants to experience a genuine, purpose-built two-seat derivative of the Bf 109 with full flight controls available from both cockpits. For the serious warbird collector, museum, historic aircraft operator, or flight-experience organization, this aircraft represents a uniquely significant and potentially highly usable example of one of history’s most recognizable fighter designs.
