    Description

All logs. No damage history. Private ownership since new. Great pedigree and maintenance history. Recent interior detail work and recent exterior paint. VFR Airplane. Always in annual since return to service in 2017. Amazing example of a Cessna 172A Model. Brought back into service 2017, by the best technicians available. Flown only by one commercial pilot with 50+ years in the air. This aircraft typically goes out twice a week and no less than twice a month. Aircraft has been hangared in dry California climate and it shows! The sweptback tail and fastback design compiled with 40 degrees of Fowler flaps with a push button activated Johnson bar compiled with a high stance landing gear, makes this an ideal short take-off and landing aircraft. Its continental 0-300 145hp 6 cylinder engine provides 133 mph cruise at about 7.5 gal per hour. I occasionally fly non-stop between KEMT (El Monte Airport, LA) to KSQL (San Carlos AirportSF bay area), CA. My times are from 2 hrs 47min to 4 hrs 12min non-stop depending on winds. I typically land with over 1 hour of fuel reserves. The proficiency levels are rudimentary and basic to safely operate this aircraft in its current condition. It is currently insured for 75K at a cost of about $700. The exterior was repainted in 2017 along with new headliner, brand new one-piece windshield, and other I would rate the exterior at 6-7 and the interior at 5-6. This aircraft has been in an annual inspection since 2017. I typically budget between $2K-2.5K for the annual inspection. This aircraft flies between 50-100 hours per year with the only pilot, Me. The reliability of this aircraft is extremely high with my "no go" for maintenance issues. I'm having trouble thinking of a time when it didn't start on a second blade and complete its mission. My modus operandi during the annual inspection is to perform progressive maintenance enhancements such as but not limited to new magnetos (with no hourly inspection requirement), new spark plugs and ignition wires, new brakes, oleo strut re-built with new O rings, new damper, etc. Compressions are good with hundreds of hours of service life left on the engine. This engine could take me through over 5 years of flying with the way I operate this aircraft in its current condition and maintenance profile. As a ferry pilot from San Francisco (a lot more macho than it sounds) I can deliver this aircraft anywhere in the world. We can depart tomorrow with the proper deposit. International Delivery Available!
