TAP Blue provides comprehensive engine maintenance coverage subject to the terms and conditions of the program. AIRCRAFT HISTORY N862K was originally placed on the Mexican registry and operated there from 1981 through 1996. During that period, maintenance was performed through Citation Service Centers and/or factory-authorized facilities. In 2008, Sierra Industries completed the Williams FJ44-3A engine conversion and cabin entry-door modification. The aircraft was located in France from 2017 through 2018. In 2017, the aircraft's wing was replaced by a Textron Citation Service Center in France following corrosion identified in the original wing. The replacement wing was sourced from Citation 551-007 and, at installation, had approximately 5,045 hours and 4,166 cycles. N862K had approximately 11,242.8 hours total time at the time of replacement. The current owner acquired N862K in France in 2018 following a pre-purchase inspection performed at a Citation Service Center. The aircraft was subsequently brought to the United States and extensively refurbished with new exterior paint, a completely renewed interior and significant avionics modernization.
