    Description

Aviano Aircraft is proud to offer C-GMNL, a 1978 King Air B100. The King Air is the airplane most companies step up to when the airlines stop going where they need to go, and the B100 is the fastest version Beechcraft built of the 100 series. The difference is the engines: a pair of Garrett turbines that climb harder and perform better out of high, hot airports than the more common King Air engines. Both have plenty of life left, and both have recently been through their mid-life inspection — 315 and 653 hours ago — so the expensive engine work is behind this airplane rather than ahead of it. The four-blade propellers are in the same shape. The cockpit is the real story. Someone spent real money modernizing it, and the centerpiece is a Garmin GTN 750 — the big touchscreen most pilots know from far newer aircraft. It handles navigation, radios, moving maps, and terrain warnings all in one box. There's a second Garmin radio for backup, a pair of Garmin transponders that already meet the current air traffic tracking requirements, and a working autopilot and flight director that will fly an approach for you. Color weather radar shows storms ahead. In short, nothing on the required-equipment list is waiting to be bought. The cabin seats nine in a comfortable executive setup, with a wood cabinet for refreshments, a seat right by the airstair door, and a big baggage compartment in the back — one of the reasons people choose a King Air in the first place. The paint is navy blue and white. The airplane has 19,669 hours on the airframe, is registered in Canada, and the inspection status and full logbooks are available to any serious buyer. Bottom line: a solid, comfortable, well-equipped turboprop that will carry nine people in and out of small airports, with the big-ticket maintenance recently done — and it costs a fraction of what a small jet costs to buy, fly, and maintain.
