Description
Skybolt 'R' Experimental Aircraft. Total time on M14P engine, PZL Prop and Airframe 37 hours.
Due to medical issues I am unable to complete the necessary Flight Testing Program for the Special Certificate of Airworthiness. The new owner will need to complete this Flight Test Program.
The Skybolt is a two seat, tandem, open cockpit, tail wheel, high performance aerobatic biplane.
The engine develops 360 horsepower and the empty take-off weight is 736kg. The gross take-off weight is 1100kg. The fuselage and empennage are made from chromoly tubing. Fabric and aluminium sheet covered. The wings are wood, steel braced and fabric covered. Fuel capacity is 140lts in the main fuselage tank and 60lts in the top wing auxiliary tank. Oil tank is 20lts max. It has an air start system with one air tank in the engine compartment and a back up tank behind the pilot. These are pumped up by an engine mounted compressor. The instrument panel is basic (no gyros). The radio is an Icom A200. Both cockpits have a hooker, 7 point harness. The brakes are hydraulic, operated from both cockpits.
