Read More (Nextant Aerospace)Founded in 2007 by Kenneth Ricci, the Cleveland, Ohio-based Nextant Aerospace is a remanufacturer of business jets. The company claims to be the first to introduce the remanufacturing concept to the business jet sector. Nextant Aerospace’s programs currently cover the light jet Nextant 400TXi (remanufactured Beechjet 400a/HawkerXP models) and the turboprop Nextant G90XT (remanufactured Beechcraft C90-Series King Air models). In September, Nextant completed the first test flight of its upcoming Challenger 604XT, which is a Bombardier Challenger 604 jet outfitted with a Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion cockpit. Nextant expects the 604XT to complete FAA and EASA certification by June 2018.
Nextant’s remanufacturing, or modernizing, approach entails a 6,000-manhour process that essentially strips original aircraft to their airframe and then equips them with new engines, avionics, interiors, and other systems. Nextant claims the Nextant 400XTi, which features Williams FJ44-3AP FADEC engines and Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics, has produced 70 aircraft sales in 13 countries. New and pre-owned models of the 400XTi and 400XT are available at Controller.com.
In 2017, Nextant Aerospace merged with Air Services, which specializes in composite manufacturing, accessory repair and overhaul (mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical), and non-destructive testing.
