Airbus SE is a leading global manufacturer of commercial passenger jets and helicopters that was established in 2000 via a consolidation involving the European aerospace industry. Originally named EADS, or European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, the company was renamed Airbus SE in 2017, a move that followed a 2016 merger of the company’s group structure with its largest division, Airbus Commercial Aircraft. Airbus also operates a Defence and Space division and Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter).

Headquartered in Leiden, Netherlands, Airbus has received 17,825 orders for its aircraft worldwide through June 2017, delivered 10,514, and has 9,584 in operation. (Airbus Helicopters has delivered roughly 12,000 helicopters globally.) Airbus commercial jets range from 100 to more than 600-seat models falling into A320, A330, A350 XWB, and A380 product families, as well as a previous-generation A340 family.

Airbus also operates Airbus Corporate Jets, a family of aircraft based on the company’s commercial aircraft. The lineup includes 19- to 50-seat, domed-ceiling aircraft ranging from the ACJ318 to ACJ321 on through VIP widebodies featuring more space that includes the ACJ330, ACJ340, ACJ350 XWB, and ACJ380. The ACJ family also includes ACJ319neo (new engine option) and ACJ320neo, which incorporates engine options made available with the A320 family.
