The Enstrom Helicopter Corporation has roots that go back 60 years. Rudy Enstrom was an iron mine mechanic with a unique hobby of building his own helicopters, and performed quite a few test flights with his own creations before earning three design patents with very little experience in the field. Using those patents as a baseline, Enstrom continued to build on that foundation and innovate throughout the 1960s and beyond. One of Enstrom’s helicopters was used to cover the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1967 and another one, the 280C, was named one of the 25 best designed helicopters of 1975 by Fortune magazine.

Today, Enstrom continues to build high-quality helicopters while focusing on multiple industries, including police and first responders, military and government, commercial, agriculture, and civil as well as other aircraft specifically designed for private use.
