American General was in operation from roughly 1988 to 1993 in Greenville, Mississippi, and its main claim to fame was to help bring back the Gulfstream American AA-5B Tiger, which was originally manufactured by Grumman American. American General actually helped to innovate on the original design of the AA-58, which ultimately led to a completely redesigned model called the American General AG-58 Tiger. Most of the airplanes you’ll find for sale on Controller.com from this category come from the era before American General took over production of the Tiger.
