About Pilatus Aircraft
Taking its name from Mount Pilatus in the Swiss Alps, Pilatus Aircraft manufactures single-engine turboprop and twin-engine jet aircraft, including the PC-12 NGX, the PC-21, and the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. Pilatus Turboprops & Jets
Variants of Pilatus’ pre-owned and current aircraft models include the PC-12 business turboprop and PC-7, PC-6/B2-H1 Turbo Porter, PC-21, and PC-24. The PC-12 made its maiden flight in 1991, and is cited as Pilatus’ best-selling aircraft. Pilatus produced its 1,800th PC-12 series aircraft, a PC-12 NGX, in May 2021. The NGX was introduced in 2019 as the third major progression of the PC-12 airframe; Pilatus says it’s the industry’s most advanced, versatile single-engine turboprop. The aircraft features an enhanced engine, improved avionics, and a completely redesigned cabin. PC-12 NGX deliveries began in 2020.
First unveiled in 2013, the Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet is described as the first-ever Swiss business jet and world’s first business jet than can be operated from short, unprepared runways. The PC-24 obtained type certificates in 2017 from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In January 2021, Pilatus delivered the 100th PC-24. Along with business travel, Pilatus notes the jet is used for medevac flights in the United States.
