SunExpress Upgrading Analytics & Safety Programs With GE Aviation
SunExpress is expanding its safety contract with GE Aviation to utilize more advanced analytics, including an upgrade to GE’s eFOQA (electronic Flight Operations Quality Assurance) Mainline. The new program will cover the SunExpress fleet, which consists of Boeing 737 and Airbus A330 aircraft.
Increased Efficiency
“Quality and accurate data is a major enabler to improving safety,” says Ben Ivy, senior product manager for GE Aviation. “As part of this agreement, SunExpress is able to break down barriers and make quality data available across their operations, helping airline safety while increasing efficiency.”
Quality Assurance
Used by hundreds of operators worldwide, FOQA is GE Aviation’s service for helping operators understand and improve safety. The software provides meteorological information, navigation data, and terrain mapping to identify safety events and measurements on thousands of flights every day. The digital FOQA program adds processing analytics and expanded data sources. “Upgrading to GE’s eFOQA Mainline solution allows us to carry this to a new level,” says Sedat Yılmaz, assistant safety manager with SunExpress.
