Cirrus Aircraft Offers Free Takeoffs & Landings Course

To help improve flight safety, Cirrus Aircraft is offering a free training course on takeoffs and landings now through the end of the year. (Photo courtesy of Cirrus Aircraft.)

Nearly half of all aircraft incidents occur in final descent and landing and another nearly 15% occur during takeoffs and initial climb, says Cirrus Aircraft. For this reason, the company created the Cirrus Approach SR Series Takeoffs and Landings flight training course to help pilots develop the skills necessary for safe takeoffs and landings. Now through the end of the year, Cirrus is offering complimentary use of the course to all pilots who register regardless of what type of aircraft they fly. The course provides in-depth, digital instructions on procedures for safe, predictable, and repeatable takeoffs and landings.

    About Cirrus Approach

The award-winning flight training program offers a diverse selection of instructional video courses for those interested in earning their private pilot license or for existing pilots looking to hone their skills. Takeoffs and Landings consists of 10 real-world lessons presented during five hours of online training, ranging from preflight preparations to proper maneuver execution. Throughout the course, pilots will learn about stabilized approach, crosswinds and slips, short-field takeoff and landing, night operations, abnormal or emergency considerations, and more. Anyone interested in the training can register at formstack.io/5D476.

“We are excited to share Takeoffs and Landings with our growing personal aviation community around the world,” says Rob Haig, Vice President of Flight Training and Chief Pilot of Cirrus Aircraft. “Safety remains the cornerstone of our ethos; therefore, we are offering this course complimentary to all. This informative, step-by-step program helps equip pilots with invaluable knowledge for their journey and throughout their flying lifetime.”
