Used Aircraft Inventory Continues To Slide, With Piston Singles & Helicopters Leading Declines
Sandhills Global’s newest market reports cover January data for pre-owned aircraft on Controller.com and other Sandhills platforms. Inventory levels continued their downward trend across all markets, with the Robinson piston helicopter category showing the largest month-over-month movement, down 5.9%, and the piston-single aircraft segment recording the greatest year-over-year shift, down 22.4%.
Asking values are showing mixed trends across used aircraft categories. The most notable changes occurred in the piston helicopter market, where asking prices increased 5.5% M/M and 5.4% YOY. Other segments saw more significant declines. For example, large jets experienced a 3.9% YOY decrease in asking prices.
