Dassault Aviation has announced the completion of a major renovation project it undertook at its Dassault Falcon Service fixed base operation (FBO) at Paris-Le Bourget Airport outside of Paris. Dassault Aviation—which manufactures a line of twin- and tri-engine business jets, including the ultra-long range Falcon 8X and new ultra-widebody Falcon 6X expected in 2022—says the makeover to the FBO will substantially enhance the comfort and quality of service for passengers and crew members passing through the airport.

    Focused On Jets

According to Dassault, its FBO at Paris-Le Bourget has been voted the No. 1 FBO at the airport. The facility serves roughly 5,000 aircraft movements annually and handles a wide range of aircraft. The FBO is also part of the Air Elite network, a global network of “uniquely exceptional” FBOs delivering “diamond level customer service.”

Dassault’s FBO is located adjacent to the company’s Le Bourget maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility, which the company says is the world’s largest maintenance service facility solely dedicated to Falcon business jets. In addition to maintenance procedures, Dassault performs cabin interior upgrades, Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), and air charter services for Falcon owners and operators based in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia through the facility.

    Time To Snooze

Located adjacent to its MRO facility at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, Dassault Aviation’s newly redesigned FBO at the airport now features a “snooze room” where crew members can relax, including using a zero-gravity position energy pod. (Photo courtesy of Dassault Aviation.)

Among the improvements that Dassault made to its FBO was fully redesigning the crew lounge, which now features a “large, bright open space,” as well as a shower room and a private “snooze room” zone where crew members can relax or even nap. Helping elicit that relaxation is a zero-gravity position energy pod zone that offers “specially composed sleep music with a gentle wake sequence of programmed lights and vibrations.” The FBO also features a meeting room that Dassault completely revamped, a new crew work zone that features multiple TV screens and access to high-speed Internet service.

In addition to its line of Falcon business jets, which also includes the Falcon 7X, 900LX, 2000LXS, and 2000S aircraft, the company manufactures Rafale military fighters. If you’re in the market for Dassault aircraft, Controller.com has numerous pre-owned models for sale.
