U.S. Air Force Awards Gulfstream Aerospace Fleet Support Contract
The U.S. Air Force has awarded Gulfstream Aerospace a contract potentially valued at $594.4 million to provide contractor logistics support (CLS) services for the C-20 and C-37 fleets serving the Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines Corps, U.S. Army, and U.S. Coast Guard. The C-20 and C-37 are military versions of Gulfstream’s III, IV, and V aircraft.
“Critical Support”
According to Gulfstream, the contract will entail Gulfstream’s support team and network of facilities providing “critical support” for various missions the military branches conduct worldwide. Examples of support include providing special airlift services for senior military leaders and government officials, as well as supporting long-range, medium-airlift logistics missions the Navy and Marine Corps conduct. The contract includes a seven-year period of performance.
“Driving Focus”
Gulfstream president Mark Burns says Gulfstream is honored to support the CLS program. “We value the U.S. military’s ongoing trust in our ability and commitment to support the Gulfstream fleet,” Burns says. “The success of our customers’ critical missions is the driving focus of every member of the CLS team.”
