Bombardier Adds APU Cost Cost-Per-Flight-Hour Option To Smart Services Portfolio For Global 7500 Aircraft

Bombardier recently added an APU cost-per-flight-hour option that covers “scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events on or off wing” for the Safran SPU300 auxiliary power unit found in its Global 7500 aircraft. Global 7500 owners can add this coverage to existing Smart Parts Plus and Smart Parts Preferred programs, available from Bombardier’s Smart Services portfolio. It also covers “exchange or repair of APU line replacement components” and “off-wing APU repair at Bombardier designated repair centers, including labor costs,” Bombardier says.

Another Helpful Addition

The addition of the APU coverage option is the most recent in a string of Smart Services updates from Bombardier over the past year. Other recent additions include coverage for cabin components and landing gear overhauls for members of the Smart Part Plus and Smart Parts Preferred programs. The company says these choices allow customers to “tailor their selected program for their flight operations’ needs.”
