If opulent fabrics and color schemes paired with craftsman-built cabinetry in a twin-engine turboprop business aircraft piques your interest, the Textron Aviation-owned Beechcraft brand has news for you. This week, Beechcraft introduced what it calls a “stunning new look” for the King Air 260 in the form of a redesigned luxury cabin interior that now features five interior color palette options along with wood-grain-finished cabinetry and a modernized refreshment center available to passengers throughout flights.

    The Role Of Cabin Amenities

Textron Aviation Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Christi Tannahill says her company is focused on continually improving King Air aircraft. In combination with recent cockpit technology introduced to the King Air 260, including the Innovative Solutions & Support ThrustSense Autothrottle system, Tannahill says these new cabin interior features create an elevated passenger flying experience.

“The interiors and amenities provided on this aircraft will make every journey a relaxing and comfortable experience for our customers,” Tannahill says. “Cabin amenities play a critical role in the selection of an aircraft, but they are also vitally important to how much our customers will enjoy every flight they take.”

    Buttercream, Anyone?

The new interior features for the King Air 260, which seats up to seven passengers, include four standard color palette choices: Alpaca, Buttercream, Latte, and New Pewter. Lava Saddle is also available as a premium interior option. The cabin also now contains multiple USB charging ports throughout.

All King Air turboprops, including the flagship King Air 360 and King Air 360ER, come standard with pull-down shades, pull-out work tables, and a private aft lavatory. Other cabin features include LED lighting, lit cupholders, and pinhole lighting along the lower sidewalls. The King Air 260, billed as the world’s most popular business turboprop, has a 1,720-nautical-mile (3,185-kilometer) flight range and a top speed of 310 ktas. Beechcraft equips the plane with a Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion Avionics Suite and recently added a digital pressurization controller that automatically handles pressurization during climbs and descents.
