Hardy enough to haul cargo yet posh enough to impress clients, the Cessna 206 Stationair is a malleable multitasker capable of transporting people and cargo, dropping parachutists, or even being customized for water operations.

The Turbo 206H variant of the Cessna 206 is powered by a 310-horsepower (231-kilowatt) Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A engine and has a maximum range of 703 nautical miles (1,302 kilometers). It has room for up to six occupants, a pilot entry door, and a rear, right-side, removable double-clamshell door for passengers. With a useful load of 1,441 pounds (654 kilograms), the 206H Turbo is a popular choice for a variety of uses.

    A Perennial Favorite

Since the introduction of the first Cessna 206 in 1964, the single-engine fixed-landing gear general-aviation aircraft has been popular with pilots. With its powerful engine and robust construction, it is a favorite for aerial photography, survey work, skydiving, personal air transport, cargo transport, air taxi services, and bush operations. It can also be fitted with floats and skis for water use.

Why The Cessna Turbo 206H Should Be Your Go-To Utility Aircraft

The versatile Cessna Turbo 206H Stationair, nicknamed the “SUV of the skies,” is the largest Cessna piston aircraft in production. It can climb up to 26,000 feet with a maximum cruising speed of 161 ktas (298 km/h). The aircraft’s ability to operate on short, rough airstrips enables it to travel to remote locations, making it popular for bush operations. The turbocharged engine enhances aircraft performance in challenging conditions such as high altitudes and hot climates.

The passenger cabin is accessed through double doors on the right side, which can be removed for skydiving. The last row of seats can be removed for additional luggage space, but the 206H Turbo has ample storage even with them in place.
