Used Light Jet Prices Down, Sales Remain Relatively Solid
The latest Sandhills Global market reports show inventory levels of used light jet aircraft in Sandhills’ worldwide marketplaces dipped slightly month over month in December. The category, however, led all jet aircraft segments in year-over-year inventory increases at 18.59%. Controller Manager Brant Washburn notes that light jet prices are down, but sales are relatively strong, indicating the market has willing buyers and sellers who have adjusted asking prices to finalize sales.

Pointing to the chart below, Washburn says light jet inventory peaked on Controller.com in 2020, bottomed out in 2022, and has been trending upward since. “The biggest growth in light jet inventory on Controller.com took place in the early part of 2023, with growth rates doubling from the year prior,” he says. “From there, the growth rates went down to single digits, with a recent uptick to 18%.”
“There are solid sales numbers in all segments of jets listed on Controller.com,” Washburn notes. “In terms of light Jets, there was a spike in sales in early 2024 that has moderated somewhat, but sales are still strong at 8.75% sold month over month.”
