Saab, a global-leading provider of ATM (air traffic management) solutions, will have company experts on hand to highlight the company’s various offerings at the World ATM Congress event scheduled in Madrid, Spain, for March 6-8. Based at stand #305 at the event, Saab is to have various demonstration stations available to customers and attendees concerning the company’s Surveillance portfolio, Digital Towers, Integrated Towers, Collaborative Decision Making, i-MET weather information system from Combitech, and other solutions.
Every Continent Served
With solutions and products aimed at both military defense and civil security applications, Saab has ATM solutions in place in more than 100 locations globally, including on every continent. The company, which hires roughly 15,000 employees globally, states it has technology operating at the world’s busiest and largest airports.
In a news release, Mike Gerry, head of the ATM business unit within Saab’s Industrial Product and Services business area, said that in addition to possessing experience that customers can depend on, the company’s “exceptionally broad and deep experience enables us to understand our customers, work collaboratively to define customized services, identify areas for future growth, and provide full lifecycle support.”
See You There
Entering its sixth year, World ATM Congress is billed as the largest international ATM exhibition and conference in the world. The event attracts more than 7,500 attendees annually and features more than 100 sessions, 225 exhibitors, 260 speakers, and representatives from 133 countries. The CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation) runs the event in partnership with the ATCA (Air Traffic Control Association).
At World ATM Congress, Saab will specifically detail its SDATS (Saab Digital Air Traffic Solutions) program at a media briefing March 7 featuring Gerry and John Klintberg, CEO of SDATS, which Saab describes as a joint venture between Saab and Sweden’s LFV, an operator of ATM and associated services for civil and military aviation. SDATS focuses on offering digital tower services globally.
Elsewhere, Niclas Gustavsson, Saab vice president of business development and governmental affairs, will offer a presentation detailing how “technology is only half of the delivery when it comes to digital towers.”
